Choosing The Proper Valve-Mate II for your Application

Our Valve-Mate II systems are easy to install and operate, but require a few

bits of knowledge to choose the proper system for your vehicle or system.

Follow these steps to pick your perfect system, or call us at 1-800-680-4455

and we will be happy to help you choose exactly what you need.

Step 1. Choose how many channels you need. Does your machine have

single winch (2 Channel IN/OUT) or an entire crane system that

requires outriggers and multiple other options (10-18 Channel). Do you

need air controlled outputs, electric actuated outputs or both?

Step 2. Choose Your remote. Do you want our standard remote, or our heavy duty upgraded remote system?

Step 3. Choose your operators. Depending on the manufacturer of your spool, you will need a particular style of operator to physically control the hydraulic cylinders.

Step 4. Find a good location to mount the control box. The Valve-Mate II systems include 6ft air control leads so place the control box within 6ft of your hydraulic spool. mount the box to the frame or a permanent piece of the vehicle.

Step 5. Install the operators on the hydraulic spool, connect the air lines, connect the main air input line and wire your control box into the electrical system of your vehicle. (We have compressors available if your vehicle does not include an air output valve.)

Choosing The Proper Operator for your System

Operators are the device that physically control the hydraulic cylinders. These come in a multitude of designs and we carry the most popular styles to fit 99% of the vehicles and machines in operation. Our operators mount on the back of the hydraulic valve, making them low profile and much more consistent, reliable and longer lasting compared to standard X-Rod cylinder style operators.

In most cases, figuring out the proper operator for your system is the most difficult part of creating your wireless hydraulic control system, so we define each of our operators below, to help you choose the correct one.

Choosing The Proper Transmitter for your System

Our Transmitters (or Radios) are the main wireless control interface for your MCS system. They feature a weather-resistant design that ensures you will be able to control your system in the most demanding conditions. We offer an upgraded version that features a fiberglass injected plastic molded housing with solid aluminum back plate that is basically impervious to drops, crushing and water intrusion. Our transmitters include a rubber boot and strap to further ensure they are safe and make sure they are handy and within reach.
